Agape Love

Agape love is the unconditional love that took Jesus to the cross. He knew we were sinners, but His love for us was big enough and merciful enough for Him to stretch out His arms and die the death of a criminal. It was big enough for Him to be separated for the first time in all eternity from God the Father. What horrible agony it must have been for Him to be sin free, yet carry the burden of all sin and for God not to be able to even look upon Him. Jesus set us free from the burden of sin and even though we still sin, we are no longer sinners. We are cleansed by His blood, only if we accept the gift. Praise God!
