- When the Israelites passed
God's Words from generation to generation, not one coma or punctuation
mark could be made incorrectly by the scribes. If any mistake
was made, the entire scroll had to be destroyed. They had a great
respect for God's Word. The New Testament saints were just as
diligent in their records about Jesus. In the first chapter of
John, God says that the Word of God was with God and was God
from the very beginning. He tells us that Jesus is the Word.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He lights our way to
the Father and to Heaven. He gives us safe passage in the darkness.
