Easter
- Heavenly Ascent
I hope Easter is a
very special day at your house. You will go to church with family
or friends and learn some wonderful things about Jesus Christ,
the Son of God. Gramma Cherbear wants you to pay very close attention
so you will learn the most important lesson of the year!
Our God is an Awesome
God. He brings us to Himself when we receive the gift of His
Son. Jesus suffered, died and was separated from Father God because
of our sins. He took our punishment and has given us the way
to escape eternal life in hell. Three days after His terrible
death on the cross, Jesus was raised from the dead. This is the
day we celebrate on Easter Sunday. He sits at the right hand
of His Father in heaven. He intercedes for those who belong to
Him. Jesus sends His Holy Spirit to live in our hearts when we
ask Him to. We need to tell Jesus we love Him everyday and be
thankful He came to save us!
Gramma's Critters
have one person on their mind today. Jesus! It is a very special
day. It is Easter! Jesus was raised to a new life on this day.
The Critters will pray in a special way. They will be thinking
about heaven and keep their thoughts turned toward God. They
will thank Him for sending Jesus to save them, and for bringing
Him back to a new life in heaven. They will worship and praise
the Lord Jesus.
There is nothing more
important than knowing we belong to God. Because of Jesus we
can be sure. If you already have Jesus in your heart and know
you are God's child, it is a day to be thankful. If you have
never asked Jesus into your heart, pray and ask God to speak
to your heart about becoming His child. Tell Him you want to
know Him in a personal way. Ask your parents, church school teachers
or pastors to help you know Jesus as your Savior. Let them explain
how Jesus needs to be in the center of your life and why you
need to let Him be the boss of your life! God bless you!

If you have
not asked Jesus to live in your heart, you can do that today!
Pray this
prayer:
Father God,
I understand I have sin in
my life. You are a Holy God and cannot look upon my sin. I ask
You to fill my empty heart with Jesus and cleanse me. I believe
that Jesus is Your Son. He was punished for my sins on the cross
of Calvary. He died for me because He loves me unconditionally.
I believe He was raised from the dead on the third day and is
seated at the right hand of God to make intercession for me.
Please forgive me for my sins. Thank you for sending Your Holy
Spirit to live inside of me. Grow me into a mature love relationship
with You as I seek to obey Your Word. Thank you God, for Your
wonderful plan for my life. I am Your child today and for eternity.
Amen
- If you prayed
this prayer and asked Jesus to come into your heart,
