Goodness & Kindness - Providing
a Shelter
Where is your shelter?
You would probably say your home is your shelter. Your parents
or guardians provide you with a roof over your head and food
to eat. There are children in our world who are not safe and
have no shelter. God wants you to be good and kind to everyone.
He will fill your heart with joy as you use His gifts of goodness
and kindness to help those who are in need.
God shows us the needs
of others everyday. He wants us to help His children know they
are safe in His care. We can speak a kind word or do a good deed.
We can also pray for the needs of others. God teaches us how
to grow up with goodness and kindness in your heart. Jesus fed
the hungry and made them well. Goodness and kindness are fruits
of His Spirit. Thank God when someone treats you with a good
and kind heart. Remember where your help comes from.
Some forest creatures
are homeless because of a the forest fire. They are on their
way to the Kid Cave where they will be happy to see how much
the Critters want to help them. They will eat and find new homes
near the Kid Cave where they will have shelter and food until
they can return to their homes. The Critters can see God's peace
in their friends as they treat them with goodness and kindness.
God cares for us.
It is because of His goodness and kindness we are safe and well.
When we are in trouble we need to look to God first. It is God
who sends our help. We can do as Jesus would do if we use our
gifts of goodness and kindness to help others. When God gives
us a way to help others that is what we must do. We help others
because we love God. The blessings are ours because we have pleased
God.
