Fruits of
the Spirit
Gentleness & Mercy - Path of
Mercy
When you need help,
where does your help come from? Where is the first place you
go for help? If it isn't God, then it should be God. He can send
His angels to surround and protect you. God will bring your help
from people you love and know well or from people whom you do
not know. He can speak to their hearts about your problem. Those
who hear Him will act with the Fruit of His Spirit called, gentleness
and mercy. They help because they love God and want you to know
He has sent them to you.
We all want others
to show us gentleness and mercy. God wants to give this same
gift to all of us. If we receive it, we can share it with others.
If we act as Jesus would act, others will know their help comes
from God. They will want to know our wonderful God. Ask God to
show you how to use this very special gift. Ask God how He want
to use you to help others.
Spring has come to
the Kid Cave. The Critter's neighbors are in trouble. A visitor
to the campgrounds became careless. A fire took away their homes
and they need food and shelter. The Critters are putting up signs
to bring them to the Kid Cave. They want to keep their neighbors
safe and show God's mercy to them. As they are helping their
friends, God will bring peace to their own hearts.
Jesus wanted to help
those who were hurting. He was gentle to everyone and is still
giving mercy us all. When we use the gift of gentleness and mercy,
Jesus does not want us to be proud of ourselves or what we have
done. He wants us to tell them God sent us. When we do that they
will want to know Him too! We need to serve others because we
love Him. God will bring rest to our hearts as we extend His
love and His mercy to others.
