New Attitude
- Hiking With a Partner
Do you ever feel down,
grouchy, lazy, hateful, mean, or just want to act ugly? You are
a victim of Bad Attitude Syndrome. God wants you to exchange
those bad attitudes for better ones. He tells us that we should
not trust our feelings. Feeling lie to us. Jesus has the good
attitudes and the cure for this syndrome. They are described
as, "Fruits of His Spirit" in the Bible. You might
have learned to ask yourself, "What Would Jesus Do?"
A more appropriate question when you are suffering from this
syndrome would be, "How Would Jesus Act?"
"But the fruit
the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being
patient, kind and good. It is being faithful and gentle and having
control of oneself." Galatians 5:22.
When suffering from
Bad Attitude Syndrome, our only hope is prayer and cooperation
with God. Asking God to give us a nudge when the sickness appears,
then exchanging the bad attitude for one of the Fruits of the
Spirit will bring a quick cure and God's instantaneous blessings.
This beautiful winter
morning in the Kid Cave Forest was suppose to be full of fun!
The Critters acted with bad attitudes and Emmi Squirrel was hurt
in the scuffle! Everyone is sad for Emmi, and sorry they did
not use the New Attitudes they have because they belong to God.
They could have chosen not to get mad, or ugly. They would still
be having fun if they would have acted in kindness and love.
They needed the Holy Spirit to be their Hiking Partner!
The next time you
are stricken with the Bad Attitude Syndrome, look around and
see how many other people are hurting because you did not reach
for the cure. Acting as Jesus would act can bring joy back into
a bad situation!
