One area I missed while growing up was this:
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matt. 19:26
I was told, in the 8th grade by my TEACHER, I had no artistic talent. I believed her. I took no other art class in school. I admired those in art and spent my early adult years longing for artistic work. I became a hairdresser so I could express myself in my work. At the age of 35, I began to take a few art classes. Wow! I had no idea how fast I could get it! People say I am a natural. I say, "I had to learn." Who knew? God knew!
I tried my hand in charcoal, oil, watercolor, pen & ink and finally pastels. I loved pastels so much, I made my own colors! I painted indoors and outdoors. I took every art class I could get into. Some with wonderful nationally acclaimed artists. I started with portraits, then scenery and on to still life. Backwards to the traditional order of learning painting techniques. God became more visible to me through the years. He began to teach me about Himself and His Word. At 49, I learned that He wanted me to give these talents and my time to Him. I ask what He wanted me to do with the time and talents He gives me. I told him to use me at His will. My life was completely turned around. Never argue with God's plans. They are always to prosper you and tons better than anything you could plan for yourself. I now do most of my art work in the computer. Include God in your future. Ask Him what He wants and don't listen to what someone else thinks of what you can do. God will make ways for you. He wants you to see HIM do it as you follow His lead! Nothing is impossible for God. Let Him reveal His plan to you. You have talents you have not yet discovered! Imagine what He can do through you if you ask Him NOW! You may be a talented speaker, writer or a musician. The possibilities are endless. Who knows? God knows! Ask Him to make you what He wants you to be.
Father God,
I know you are an Awesome God. You say You made plans for my life before I was even born. Show me how you can use me in Your kingdom purpose. Reveal my talents and and guide my steps. I put my trust in You!
