Restful Escape

- You are reading this
lesson because you want to learn more about Jesus. You love God
and want to do what He says. He says you need a day of rest!
God wants to bless you with a restful day. You need a day when
you can think about Him. He will super charge your engine, if
you will let Him. Praising God, remembering the great love He
has for you, will get you give you steam for another week. Just
like the "Little Engine that could." He wants you to
have a restful escape from the pressures of a busy week.

- We normally think
that we have five workdays and two play days. That was not exactly
what God had in mind. He said we should work for six days of
the week and use the seventh day to rest. He also said to keep
the seventh day, the Sabbath Day, Holy. That is why Christians
use Sunday for worshiping God and resting. Jesus arose from the
dead on a Sunday. He brought us New Life on a Sunday. It is for
our own good God commands us to rest on this day. He knows that
we need to stop and think about Him.

- God wants us to be
ready for His Kingdom. Jesus is the King of kings. He will show
us the place He has made for us. When we study the Bible we learn
to know God. Jesus made a way for us to be with God forever.
We are already blessed by God.
