Greet new members and introduce them to
the class and the Critters.
Open the class with a prayer.
- Objective: In
last weeks lessons the Critters try to clean up Gramma Cherbear's
Den after (either Ricky & Randy Racoon or the Badger Brothers)
were up to mischief making. Please
review last weeks lesson to prepare for this one! Teach the children the importance of forgiving others
and how Jesus forgives us.
-
- Talk with the children:
- When others mistreat you it's easy to get
more upset than you need to be. You may be tempted to lose your
temper. Stay calm and tell God how you feel. Try to look at the
bright side. See what good you can make of it. Maybe you can
learn how to repair something. You may learn more about why you
should share God's love with others. God will help repair your
damaged heart and renew a happiness in you.
-
- Teach the children:
- It is very important we learn how to forgive.
Staying mad at someone will only cause pain in our hearts. This
will keep us unhappy. God wants us to be quick to forgive others.
He forgave us quickly; we need to do the same for ourselves and
others.
-
- (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)
-
- Repair and Renew!
- Gramma's Critters have learned a new lesson
this week. She is helping them see that things are not so bad.
She is happy they cleaned her Den after the mischief making of
others. She has shown them how to mend what is broken. A few
stitches on her favorite chair makes it almost as good as new.
Some glue to the teapot and cups and they will again be used
for visitors to the Den. Gramma Cherbear knows, life is too wonderful
to spend time being angry over the misdeeds of others.
-
- (closing)
- Repeat today's Bible verses.
- It is good to learn how to make good from
bad. Looking to see what we can do to make things better will
help our hearts heal. Keeping our minds on good will keep us
happier and healthier too! When you feel yourself getting red
hot with anger, remember to go talk to God about the problem.
Ask Him to show you what is good! It may be your time to show
someone else the right way to behave.
Worship God with music.
Activities:
Use crafts, games, puzzles, hidden pictures,
word search, mazes, and books to further emphasize the current
weeks' teachings. We are using the Bible Shapes Activity Book
this week.
Pass out the coloring pages.
Explain the daily devotions! Encourage the Kids to show these to their parents
and get help as they continue to learn how God takes care of
them through the week.
