Greet new members and introduce them to
the class and the Critters.
Open the class with a prayer.
- Read the Bible Verse for the day!
- The Bible Says:
- "Observe the Sabbath day. Keep it holy,
just as the Lord your God commanded you"
- Deuteronomy 5:12
- "Then the King will speak to those on
his right. He will say, 'My Father has blessed you.
- Come and take what is yours. It is the kingdom
prepared for you since the world was created..." Matthew
25:34
-
- Objective:
- We work hard all week. God took a rest day
when He created the world. He says we can too! He wants us to
use our rest day to worship and honor Him for all the good He
has done.
-
- (God Commands)
- You are reading this lesson because you want
to learn more about Jesus. You love God and want to do what He
says. He says you need a day of rest! God wants to bless you
with a restful day. You need a day when you can think about Him.
He will super charge your engine, if you will let Him. Praising
God, remembering the great love He has for you, will get you
give you steam for another week. Just like the "Little Engine
that could." He wants you to have a restful escape from
the pressures of a busy week.
-
- We normally think that we have five workdays
and two play days. That was not exactly what God had in mind.
He said we should work for six days of the week and use the seventh
day to rest. He also said to keep the seventh day, the Sabbath
Day, Holy. That is why Christians use Sunday for worshiping God
and resting. Jesus arose from the dead on a Sunday. He brought
us New Life on a Sunday. It is for our own good God commands
us to rest on this day. He knows that we need to stop and think
about Him.
-
- (Blessed Are You!)
- God wants us to be ready for His Kingdom.
Jesus is the King of kings. He will show us the place He has
made for us. When we study the Bible we learn to know God. Jesus
made a way for us to be with God forever. We are already blessed
by God.
-
- (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)
-
- A Restful Escape
- The Critters love to worship God in the peaceful
meadow of the Kid Cave Forest. Cami Cub is leading the Bible
class today. Joshua Jackrabbit will say a prayer. Emmi Squirrel
is learning something new that will help her have a wonderful
week. Today is Liam Leapfrog's favorite day. Today, he will be
quiet and have a restful escape from his busy life in the pond.
Gramma's Critters love this beautiful world God created. They
are learning about the Kingdom of God.
-
- (closing)
-
- Repeat today's Bible verse.
- Our day of rest is a blessing from God. He
has made even better plans for us when we come into the Heavenly
Kingdom. But He wants us to enjoy His blessings here on earth.
If we talk and listen to God on our day of rest, He will teach
us about His Great Love. We are blessed when we worship Him and
learn about Jesus.
Worship God with music.
