Greet new members and introduce them to
the class and the Critters.
Open the class with a prayer.
-
- Objective:
- The kind of peace that God gives is special.
It is a trusting peace. We have comfort knowing that God cares
for us and is always taking care of us. He wants us to rest well
knowing He is in charge.
-
- (Speak with the children)
Having a wonderful place to rest can bring
a peaceful feeling to your mind and body. Where is your place?
Is it your room? God wants your heart and Spirit to have a place
to rest. You can have the 'peace' that comes from God. It is
a resting place for your Spirit. Your heart can be quiet and
still and you can know that God will take care of you.
"Be still and know that I am
God...." Psalms 46:10
-
-
- (Teach the children)
- God knew we could not have 'perfect peace'
without Him. Perfect peace is a fruit of His Spirit. He wanted
His children to know the kind of peace only He can give to them.
When we know Jesus, our hope in God is real. It gives us power
to trust Him, all the time. What a wonderful gift it is, to have
peace in your heart. When you are resting and saying your prayers,
thank God for His gift of peace!
-
- (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)
-
- Peace - A place of rest!
- The Kid Cave Critters have been busy for
a very long time. They need to rest. Joshua Jackrabbit knew where
to take his friends! Joshua always finds peace in the meadow.
Liam Leapfrog and Emmi Squirrel are resting. When Cami Cub is
comfortable, Joshua will lie down and rest in the peaceful meadow
too! God gave them a wonderful place to enjoy His peace.
-
- (closing)
-
- Repeat today's Bible verse.
- Do you know the peace that God gives? Do
you rest in God's perfect peace? God is pleased when we trust
Him. Trusting God is called faith. Tell your friends about Jesus
and the gift of 'perfect peace.' God will bring rest to their
hearts too!
Worship God with music.
