Goodness
& Kindness - Providing a Shelter
Teachers may add
their own creative skills and special touches. You can use snacks,
play games, select music and/or use a study of the people in
the Bible chosen by God to teach this lesson. At Calvary Kidz
Church, we will be having our church drama team present a skit
with some of the lessons. Each week is different. Be creative
and capture their attention. Remember they will be getting to
know the Critters, their personalities, and be able to relate
to them as time goes on.

Greet new members and introduce them to
the class and the Critters.
Open the class with a prayer.
- Read the Bible Verse for the day!
- The Bible Says:
- "Poor people have come to you for safety.
You have kept needy people safe when they were in trouble..."
Isaiah 25:4
- Objective:
- We all have times when we need God to send
us help from other people. We must be available for God to use
when others need us to help keep them safe and well. There are
many ways to be good, and many ways to be kind.
-
-
- (Speak with the children)
- Your home is your shelter. Your parents feed
you each day. I hope this is true for you. There are children
in our world who are not safe. God wants you to be good and kind
to everyone. He will fill your heart with joy as you help people.
-
- (Teach the children)
- God shows us the needs of others. He wants
us to help His children be safe. We can speak a kind word or
do a good deed. We can also pray for the needs of others. God
teaches us how to grow up with goodness and kindness in your
heart. Jesus was kind to many people. He fed them and made them
well. Goodness and kindness are also fruits of His Spirit. Remember
to thank God when someone treats you with a good and kind heart.
-
- (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)
-
- Goodness & Kindness - Providing a
Shelter
- Some forest creatures are homeless because
of a the forest fire. They are on their way to the Kid Cave.
They will be happy to see how much the Critters want to help
them. They will eat and find new homes near the Kid Cave. The
Critters know that God wants them to help others. They are full
of God's joy. They can see God's peace in their friends, as they
treat them with goodness and kindness.
-
- (closing)
-
- Repeat today's Bible verse.
- God cares for us. It is because of His goodness
and kindness we are safe and well. When we are in trouble, it
is God who sends our help. We can do as Jesus would do, if we
use our gift of goodness and kindness to help others. When God
gives us a way to help others, that is what we must do. He will
bless us and them too!
Worship God with music.
