Gentleness
& Mercy - Path of Mercy
Teachers may add
their own creative skills and special touches. You can use snacks,
play games, select music and/or use a study of the people in
the Bible chosen by God to teach this lesson. At Calvary Kidz
Church, we will be having our church drama team present a skit
with some of the lessons. Each week is different. Be creative
and capture their attention. Remember they will be getting to
know the Critters, their personalities, and be able to relate
to them as time goes on.

Greet new members and introduce them to
the class and the Critters.
Open the class with a prayer.
- Read the Bible Verse for the day!
- The Bible Says:
- "Become my servants and learn from me.
I am gentle and free of pride. You will find rest for your souls."
Matthew 11:29
-
- Objective: Teach
the children that no matter who is helping them, it is God that
sends the help. It is God's great mercy to us. He wants us to
give His mercy to others.
-
-
- (Speak with the children)
- When you need help, where does your help
come from? Do your Parents help you? Maybe a friend? God can
also bring your help from people who do not know you. He can
speak to their hearts about your problem. Those who hear Him
will act with the Fruit of His Spirit called, gentleness and
mercy. They help because they love God and want you to know He
has sent them to help you.
-
- (Teach the children)
- We all want others to show us gentleness
and mercy. God wants to give this same gift to all of us. If
we receive it, we can share it with others. If we act as Jesus
would act, others will know their help comes from God. They will
want to know our wonderful God. Ask God to show you how to use
this very special gift. Do you know someone who needs your help?
-
- (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)
-
- Gentleness & Mercy - Path of Mercy
- Spring has come to the Kid Cave. The Critter's
neighbors are in trouble.A visitor was careless in the campgrounds.A
fire took away their homes and they need food and shelter. The
Critters are putting up signs to bring them to the Kid Cave.
They want to keep their neighbors safe. They are sharing their
gift of gentle mercy with others. As they are helping their friends,
God will bring peace to their own hearts.
-
- (closing)
-
- Repeat today's Bible verse.
- Jesus wanted to help those who were hurting.
He was gentle to everyone. He is still giving mercy to all of
us. He provides our help from others who know Him. When we use
the gift of gentleness and mercy, Jesus does not want us to be
proud of ourselves or what we have done. He wants us to tell
them God sent us. When we do that, they will want to know Him
too! God will bring us a restful heart as we help others. We
need to serve others because we love Him.
Worship God with music.
