Notes for the Teacher! Teachers foreward - Faith, Hope and Love, God's way! Faithfulness - we need faithful friends Teachers may add their own creative skills and special touches. You can use snacks, play games, select music and/or use a study of the people in the Bible chosen by God to teach this lesson. At Calvary Kidz Church, we will be having our church drama team present a skit with some of the lessons. Each week is different. Be creative and capture their attention. Faithfulness - we need faithful friends (Can God count on You) by Gramma Cherbear http://www.cherbearsden.com ©2000 Cherbear Greet new members and introduce them to the class and the Critters. Open the class with a prayer. Read the Bible Verse for the day! The Bible Says: "So I want you to realize that the LORD your God is God. He is the faithful God.He keeps His covenant for all time to come.He keeps it with those who love Him and obey His commands. He shows them His love." Deuteronomy 7: 9   Objective: Teach the children they can be secure in God's love. He says He will never leave us. Also teach them that we can use that same faithfulness in the way we treat God.   (Speak with the children) God is Faithful. Faithfulness is a part of God's character. Because He loves you, you can know He will always be with you. He gives you strength and helps you when you are in trouble. He is faithful to bring joy and peace to your heart. He loves you no matter who you are or what you have done.   God is faithful. What He says, He will do! "The One who has chosen you is faithful. He will do all these things." 1Thessalonians 5:24   (Teach the children) Jesus was faithful to do what His Father ask Him to do. Because He was faithful, we can know God. We can pray to God and call Jesus our friend. When we know God this way, there is another gift He gives to us. Faithfulness is one of the Fruits of the Spirit. We can use the gift of faithfulness to help our family and friends. We can also use this gift to be faithful to God and tell others about His great love.   (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)   Faithfulness - we need faithful friends The trip home from the ski adventure was not so good for Cami Cub. She tripped on a rock and injured her foot. She needs her friends to help her get home. Cami Cub is always a caring and faithful friend. She is quick to love others with God's special love. Her Critter friends have brought her to the safety of the Kid Cave. Gramma's Critters are being faithful in their love for each other.   (closing)   Repeat today's Bible verse. A friend who can be trusted is a faithful friend. If a friend always does what he says he will do, he is a faithful friend. We all count on God to do what He says he will do. We can trust God. We must not forget that God wants to count on us too!   Worship God with music. Activities: Use crafts, games, puzzles, hidden pictures, word search, mazes, and books to further emphasize the current weeks' teachings. Pass out the coloring pages. Explain the daily devotions!
