Greet new members and introduce them to
the class and the Critters.
Open the class with a prayer.
- Read the Bible Verse for the day!
- "The Lord God put the man in the Garden
of Eden. He put him there to work its ground and to take care
of it." Genesis 2:15
-
- Objective:
- Teach the children to work with a happy heart.
God wants us to do our work as though we were doing it for him.
Grumbling makes the work harder to do.
-
- (Speak with the children)
- When you look around at the earth, what do
you think about what you see? Do you see all the wonderful works
of God? Are you thankful that He loved you enough to give you
the earth with all the beautiful trees, plants, animals, flowers,
water, and the sky? He says you should help take care of it!
He also says to do your work with a happy heart. You can ask
God to help you with right thinking when you have work to do.
-
- (Teach the children)
- God knows that sometimes we don't want to
work. He tells us to work with joy in our hearts. He would not
tell us to do something that we cannot do. Doing what is right
is not all that matters to God. The way we do it is also very
important! We will work better and faster when we think good
thoughts while we work.
-
- (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)
Watch the Sunset part 2
Gramma's Critters are busy cleaning
the forest. Liam Leapfrog has encouraged everyone to do what
is right. They are all cleaning the forest with joy in their
hearts. They will be happy when they look back on what they have
done. God gave them strength and helped them with right thinking.
- (closing)
Repeat today's Bible verse.
- God made the earth. He created us to live
on the earth and take care of it. It is better for us and for
everyone around us, if we thank God for our blessings when we
are working.
Worship God with music.
