Greet new members and introduce them to
the class and the Critters.
Open the class with a prayer.
- Read the Bible Verse for the day!
-
- The Bible Says:
- "Your word is like a
lamp that shows me the way. It is like a light that guides me."
Psalm 119: 105
-
- Objective:
- Teach the kids to look towards God to keep
them safe. They need to pray for His guidance and learn what
He says, so they can make right choices and stay on His path.
- (Speak with the children)
God is your Lamp in
the Darkness. The Bible says His Word is also like a Lamp to
guide you. God loves you so much He wants you to know good from
bad in your heart and your mind? When Jesus lives in your heart,
He can shine God's Light in your heart and help you think right
thoughts in your mind.
-
- (Teach the children)
The Holy Bible is
God's "How To," book for His children. No matter how
young or old we are, He can show us the way we should go. He
can keep peace in our hearts. When we get frightened, God wants
us to know He is there. He cares for us. He can keep us safe
in the dark. God also gives us joy when we see with His Light.
-
- (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)
-
- Remember they will be getting to know the
Critters, their personalities, and be able to relate to them
as time goes on.
The Campfire Lights the Darkness (2) with
illustration.
Emmi Squirrel and Joshua Jackrabbit
only wanted to surprise Cami Cub and Liam Leapfrog. Cami was
so excited! She did not notice Liam was there. Liam will have
to "Ribbit" his way out of this one! Emmi and Joshua
did not mean to scare Cami and Liam. They wanted to share what
they will be wearing to the Calvary Forest Church Fall Fun Festival.
They will be celebrating because Jesus won their battle with
Satan. Because of Jesus, God's children will live forever with
Him.
Show how Liam is trapped under Cami's arm
in the excitement. See how happy everyone is when the campfire
is bright enough to see clearly.
- (closing)
Repeat today's Bible verse.
- Remember, Halloween is a holiday that celebrates
Satan and evil. I hope you will be sure to celebrate Jesus and
good. Go to a Fall Fun Festival at your church or a church near
to you on Halloween! Take a friend!
Worship God with music.
