Greet new members and introduce them to
the class and the Critters.
Open the class with a prayer.
Read the Bible Verse for the day!
The Bible Says:
"For there is nothing hidden
that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not
be known or brought out into the open." Luke 8:17 ( explain
disclosed - found out or revealed, concealed - covered up or
hidden).
Objective:
Speak with the children about trying
to hide mistakes. God wants us to ask for forgiveness for what
we have done. God can help us to do what is right! Nothing is
hidden from God.
(Speak with the children)
You can't keep secrets from God! He
knows everything and will make secrets known to others. When
you do something that is wrong, God will cause others to find
out about it. Trying to hide will only get you into bigger trouble.
When you are tempted to do wrong, ask Jesus to help you make
the choice to do what is right. Then, there will be no need to
hide!
(Teach the children)
When we think about doing something
we do not want others to know about, we can ask God to help us
choose not to do it! God's Word says He has already made a way
to help us do good. He lets us choose between what is right and
what is wrong. God is always watching us and He knows everything
we do. We can enjoy God's company when we choose to do what is
right.
- (Let the Critters help teach the lesson)
Hiding behind a Lily Pad with illustration
Liam Leapfrog thought he could hide
from his friends, but look how easily Joshua Jackrabbit found
him. Joshua did not know Liam was hiding behind the Lily pad,
but he hooked it and found him anyway. Joshua is a good friend.
He will help Liam to stay on God's path. Liam will have no reason
to hide.
Explain how Liam was hiding and Joshua
found Him without really looking for him.
(closing)
Repeat today's bible verse. God gives
us choices. If we choose to do what is right, we will not have
a need to tell lies or try to hide the bad things we do. God
is everywhere, all the time. We cannot hide from God! Give examples
or invite the children to share how we might be tempted to do
what is wrong and then try to hide it. Lying, breaking something
(accidents are not bad, but hiding the truth is always bad).
Reinforce that God can help them to choose to do what is right.
But it is a choice He gives them. They must decide. Encourage
truth!
Worship God with music.
Activity: Use a "people of the Bible"
lesson of your choice to add to this study.

Explain the daily devotions! Encourage the Kids to show these to their parents
