Notes for the Teacher!

Stand Firm With the Oak! pt 3

3 pt series on the Full Armour of God

Teachers may add their own creative skills and special touches. You can use snacks, play games, select music and/or use a study of the people in the Bible chosen by God to teach this lesson. At Calvary Kidz Church, we will be having our church drama team present a skit with some of the lessons. Each week is different. Be creative and capture their attention. Remember they will be getting to know the Critters, their personalities, and be able to relate to them as time goes on.

Greet new members and introduce them to the class and the Critters.

Open the class with a prayer.

Read the Bible Verse for the day!

The Bible Says:
"Give thanks no matter what happens. God wants you to thank him because you believe in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Objective:
Teach the children to have an attitude of gratitude with God. He wants them to thank Him for everything. We should remember to thank God when He brings our help in times of troubles. We can even thank Him for what we have learned during hard times.

Talk with the children:
God wants you to praise Him and thank Him for the good times and for the battles too! It is in times of troubles that you learn to know Him better. That's because you can see how He brings help to you. When you trust Him for small things, it will help you have faith and strength to trust God during really hard times. Seeing and thinking about how good God is will help you to be brave. When He brings your help, remember to thank Him for and praise Him for taking such good care of you.

Teach the children:
When we depend on Him, and trust Him, He will show us great and mighty things. Praying and reading God's Word will help us know how much God loves us! It will also teach us to love Him "no matter what." This is the way God loves us. Remember to thank God for sending Jesus to save us and give us victory over all of our battles.

(Let the Critters help teach the lesson)

Stand Firm With the Oak! pt 3
This battle is over for Joshua Jack Rabbit and Liam Leapfrog. Because they fought the battle together, they are better friends. They have seen God's help and now their faith will be stronger when other problems come. They will not forget to thank God for giving them the victory over the battle. The Critters praise God for His faithfulness.

Repeat today's Bible verse."
God wants us to face our battles, but not alone. We can ask Him for help. He might send angels to protect us. He may send a friend or family member or maybe a church family member well help us win the battle. Thank God and trust Him no matter what happens. He is with you! His love never fails!

Worship God with music.
