Soaring with Eagles or Gliding on the Wings of the Dove?
In my relationship with God:
Sometimes, I am soaring with the eagles. God sets me to soar when I am remaining in Him, abiding and mindful of my need to be obedient to Him. Such a wonderful place to be; It just doesn't get any better than soaring.Isa. 40:31 ... those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
I like to soar!
Sometimes, I am walking in the high places. When God sets my feet in the high places, perhaps because of my love walk with Jesus, there is no greater path to climb.
Ps. 18:33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.Amos 4:13 He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth-- the LORD God Almighty is his name.
I love the high places!
Sometimes, God calls me to rest, with my faith and trust in Him. I love resting in the Lord. I try to see myself as God sees me. That is when the cross of Calvary is in full vision! Sitting quietly with God, listening to Him, through my prayers and in the reading of His Word, often places me in a peaceful glide on the wings of the Dove. I draw closer to Him and, "IN FAITH, HE..." draws near to me! Selah (Just think of that.)
"Be still, and know that I am God" Ps. 46:10
I really need to glide!
Thank you Father for letting this unworthy child soar with the eagles. I love walking with Jesus in the high places. I thank you for my need to glide and draw near to you! Your Spirit comforts me, when I am unsettled, and reminds me to look at the cross and remember the joy of my salvation. You are my God, help me to be still! Amen!
