Commandment of Honor

The dictionary says to honor someone is to show them "outward respect." This means we show them we know they are our boss by the way we act and things we do. When we obey them, we are showing them honor. When we care for and help them, we are showing them honor. God tells us we must honor our parents. When we do, we are also honoring God by obeying His 5th commandment.

Path Connection Prayer

Lord God,

I don't always understand why I should obey my parents. Help me to remember, when I do, I am showing honor and I am also honoring YOU!
